Custom door assemblies for smart vending cabinets
This category is not a stock fridge door and not a loose pane of glass. It is a smart vending machine door assembly — the full leaf your cabinet needs to close, seal, display, and lock — produced to the opening you send. A typical assembly is an insulated glass unit in a commercial frame, plus magnetic gasket, hinges, lock, handle, and any cutout for a camera, RFID, or center payment column. We build it as a custom part for glass-front smart vendors, combo drink-and-snack machines, and locker-style unmanned cabinets.
OEM and ODM buyers searching for a vending machine glass door assembly, a custom insulated vendor door, or a dual-door smart merchandiser leaf use this line when the cabinet is already tooled and the door must match the rebate, the hinge load, and the UI column. Send a drawing or a sample door. We return a first-article assembly, then run the batch. Related parts: insulated glass units, gaskets and hinges, and beverage and wine cabinet doors for non-vending coolers.
What “door assembly” means on a smart vendor
A smart vending door has three jobs. It must show the planogram through clear glass so the shopper does not guess. It must hold the cold on a refrigerated drink or combo side without fogging the shopper’s view. It must lock and report “door open” to the controller. That is why we sell an assembly, not a raw IGU. The insulated glazing unit (hollow glass ) is the thermal core: two tempered panes, warm-edge spacer, air or argon fill, optional Low-E. The frame carries the gasket and the hinge. The lock and optional reed switch or hall sensor talk to the vending machine board so a sale cannot start with the door ajar.
Combo cabinets (bottles left, snacks right, payment in the middle) usually take two mirrored assemblies and a fixed center mullion. Single-door smart fridges take one large leaf. Locker walls take a grid of small doors — say so on the RFQ; the glass stack and lock differ from a full-height merchandiser leaf.
Custom production — what we freeze on the PO
Every leaf is made to the cabinet, not pulled from a one-size bin. On the order we lock:
Opening and swing. Width, height, rebate depth, LHH or RHH, 1-door or 2-door set, and whether the payment column is in the door or in a fixed pillar.
Glass. Double-pane insulated for refrigerated drink and combo vendors; optional low-E and argon; extra-clear for snack facings; heated glass or heated frame when the site is humid. Triple pane only if you run a true freezer vendor.
Frame and look. Slim aluminum (white, black, champagne), stainless cover, or frameless step-glass with silk-screen. Brand frit and logo can fire into the glass so the door is the advertising face.
Hardware. Self-close hinge with hold-open, magnetic gasket compound for your temperature, cam lock or electronic lock, full-height or recessed handle, door-ajar sensor, optional auto-return. We do not ship a glass panel and ask you to hunt hinges.
Process. Drawing or sample → glass makeup and hinge load check → first-article door assembly → dimensional and seal report → production. MOQ is by tool and silk-screen, not by a fake catalog SKU. Color, lock voltage, and gasket can change by lot if you say so before the frit is printed.
Where the assembly is used
Glass-front combo snack and beverage vendors, refrigerated drink merchandisers, office and factory smart fridges, locker-grid unmanned retail, and OEM cabinets that need a door that matches an existing body. Indoor lobby is the default. Semi-outdoor or high-sun sites need a thicker IGU, low-E, and a wider gasket — state that on the inquiry.

How to start a custom order
Write the PO as: custom smart vending door assembly; insulated glass; frame color; lock and sensor; opening size; quantity of left/right leaves. Attach the rebate drawing. Do not write “wine cabinet door” or “single pane display glass” — those are other categories and will not seal or hinge on a vendor body.
Questions OEM buyers ask
Can you copy our current door?
Yes. Ship one sample leaf or a full dimension pack (opening, hinge cup, gasket groove, lock case). We reverse-build a matching assembly and send a first article for fit on your line.
Insulated or single glass?
Use hollow insulated glass on any refrigerated drink or combo column. Single glass is only for ambient snack doors in dry rooms. Most smart combo machines should not mix a cold left door with a single pane.
Do you supply only glass, or the whole door?
Both. The standard offer is the full assembly so your line only hangs and wires the lock. Glass-only IGUs are available if your frame is already tooled.
Electronic lock and door signal?
We can cut the lock pocket and mount a cam, solenoid, or cabinet lock to your voltage, plus a reed/hall loop for “door closed.” You keep the vendor controller; we keep the mechanical fit.
What is the usual sample path?
One paid first-article assembly, seal and diagonal check, your hang-test on the cabinet, then a production lot. Silk-screen and odd sizes need that sample. Standard white/black frames move faster once the opening is frozen.
